  • Fast Website
The average human attention span has dropped from 12 seconds to 7 seconds over the last decade. What does this mean for you as a website owner? You have very little time to catch users attention through your website content and convince them to stay on your website (bounce rate). A slow website means users will potentially leave your website before it even loads. According to a case study that involved Amazon, Google, and other larger sites, a 1 second delay in page load time can lead to 7% loss in conversions, 11% fewer page views, and 16% decrease in customer satisfaction. Google and other search engines have already started penalizing slower websites by pushing them down in the search results which means lower traffic for slow websites.

Slow site? Get up to speed.
Did you know that most visitors bounce off your website if it loads in over 3 seconds? Google also penalizes slow websites. Bottom line, is when your site is slow visitors get frustrated and you waste traffic. Get your site up to speed so potential customers have the best experience when they visit your website.

Initial Website Report & Analysis
We perform a comprehensive site speed performance scan using Google Lighthouse. This report gives us a baseline of where the site stands and areas we need to troubleshoot. We also create a staging server so we don't impact your live site.

Troubleshooting
We troubleshoot all issues from the report and anything else we can find in WordPress. This may include outdated plugins, themes, or software. We go to lengths to identify anything that could be bogging the site down.

On-site Optimization
Once we have identified all issues that are slowing the site down, we begin to optimize the site. Our developers do whatever it takes to make your site super fast.

Final Speed Optimization Report
Once we are fully complete with the on-site optimization, we send you a report and the staging site link. The report will show major improvements when compared to the initial report we run before we start the service. You will also be able to test the staging site link. Once you approve we push your changes from staging to live!

Why sites are slow?
  • Web Hosting – When your web hosting server is not properly configured it can hurt your website speed.
  • WordPress Configuration – If your WordPress site is not serving cached pages, then it will overload your server thus causing your website to be slow or crash entirely.
  • Code Optimization – Code optimization involves analyzing the code and database queries and finding the spots where the code is inefficient and where database queries are slow. After finding these “hotspots,” it’s the job of a developer to fix those problems.
  • Page Size – Mainly images that aren’t optimized for web.
  • Bad Plugins – If you’re using a poorly coded plugin, then it can significantly slow down your website.
  • External scripts – External scripts such as ads, font loaders, etc can also have a huge impact on your website performance.
  • Page Caching – Most websites today are dynamic, meaning that they pull from a database of information, insert the pulled data into templates, and then serve them to you. This happens every time somebody requests a page from the server, and the time it takes to perform this process is dependent on the efficiency of the code and the power of said servers.
Process
  1. GTmetrix report scan and analysis
  2. Create a staging site to work on so it will not impact live site
  3. Manually troubleshoot and optimize the site based on root causes from the GTmetrix report
  4. Send back optimized staging site and GTmetrix report Good to go with a fast website!
